In May 2016, The National Seed Trade Association of Ghana (NASTAG) submitted a grant proposal
to the Agricultural Policy Support Project (APSP) and secured a GHC grant of GHC314,686 to
implement an 18-month project geared towards “Promoting Policy and Regulatory Reforms for
the Development of the Ghana Seed Industry”. Basically the project seeks to consolidate the
interventions of the various associations into a vibrant and unified seed trade association for
holistic growth and development of the seed industry in Ghana, ultimately strengthening the role
and activities of the National Seed Trade Association of Ghana (NASTAG).
